The President of the Association, Mr. Peter Papaemmanouil, encourages all Victorians young and old to march together in Melbourne on Australia Day 2004 and to wave the Australian National Flag in a public show of national pride and patriotism.

On this day, 26th January 2004, in an Australia Day tradition a huge march will wind through Melbourne’s city streets.

It will start from the Melbourne Town Hall after the raising of the Australian National Flag at 11.00am and wind down to the rivers edge reaching Federation Square.

There will be a plethora of entertainment, workshops and activities in Birrarung Marr.

Come and join us at Birrarung Marr and become a part of the Australian Day tradition.

The largest Australian National Flag flown in the world will fly overhead and will be sponsored by Carlton and United Breweries. It will be towed under a helicopter and it will fly up the Yarra and over the streets of Melbourne.

Mr Papaemmanouil said, the Association supports the biggest Australia Day Program ever staged and encourages all Victorians to fly the Australian National Flag throughout the year and particularly on Australia Day.
